Councillor Richard Nelson

Cllr Richard Nelson represents Larkhall (Ward 20)

Having been born and raised in South Lanarkshire Richard lives here with his wife and two young boys. He work locally for the NHS and has much experience within the health and care sectors gained over the last 20 years.

Richard has played an active part in his community all his life and he decided to stand for election to put that experience to good use as an effective representative for Larkhall. Equipped with first-hand experience of the issues facing local residents, he wants to make sure South Lanarkshire Council delivers a better future for the town and enhances the sense of community for everyone who calls it home.

After being elected by residents Richard was appointed by the leader of the Conservative Group to serve as its business manager (whip).

Councillor Mark McGeever

Cllr Mark McGeever is the media manager of the Conservative Group of South Lanarkshire Council. He represents Hamilton West and Earnock. Mark previously worked as a local government and emergency service public relations officer after a stint as a local journalist.

Councillor Lynne Nailon

Cllr Lynne Nailon represents Hamilton South (Ward 19). She is the vice chair of the South Lanarkshire Conservative & Unionist Association.

Councillor Eric Holford

Cllr Eric Holford serves as treasurer of the South Lanarkshire Conservative and Unionist Association. He represents Clydesdale East. Eric is a strong campaigner on the rights of disabled people and a keen advocate for greater awareness of the unnecessary obstacles that create difficulties for those living with a disability.
