Councillor concerned by reports of RBS approach to Hamilton fraud

A CONSERVATIVE councillor has spoken of his concern at reports a bank failed to spot suspicious activity that conned local football club Hamilton Accies out of nearly £1 million.

Local newspaper the Hamilton Advertiser described the club as "at war" with the Royal Bank of Scotland.

South Lanarkshire Conservatives back Shelter campaign

CONSERVATIVE councillors joined a Shelter Scotland stall in Hamilton to support the charity’s campaign against homelessness.

More than 2,000 homeless applications were made in South Lanarkshire last year, with 651 households - including 522 children - living in temporary accommodation.
