Ross is a born & raised Lanarkshire local, who recently returned home to start a family after spending over a decade in London running his own business.
“I decided to get involved in politics simply because I’m unhappy with the current state of the country, the impact of 14 years of SNP mismanagement can been seen all over Lanarkshire. The place I call home has gone backwards, not forwards.”
Ross is a chartered Architect, and his practice has delivered over a billion pounds of projects in sectors including Residential, Education, Heritage, & Cultural. Ross balances private practice with a commitment to educating the next generation of professionals and he has over 15 years’ experience lecturing at various Universities.
Now back living in the Clydesdale with his young family and restoring an old farm for the past 3 years, Ross has become increasingly active in local community groups and recently co-founded a Charitable Trust to save a local historic landmark – The Hamilton Mausoleum.
Ross has also been on a personal environmental mission, planting 55,000 native species Scottish trees and pushing the boundaries of green tech at home.
“I believe in two things; having ideas, and grafting to make them happen. It seems to me we could do with a lot more of both in our politics, and I’m ready to get stuck in.”
